We’re back! Ready for whole new roaster art adventures. For January’s GMD Los Angeles Tour, we’re heading to visit She Bends: Women in Neon at Museum of Neon Art – a group show featuring women benders from around the world.
This month’s special guest is GMD Founder Diane Lindquist mentee and founder of PROCESS/PROGRESS, Rachel Fishman. The first 5 attendees to arrive receive an official GMD button!

We’ll meet at the front entrance of the museum. Find GMD’s founder Diane Lindquist waiting to meet y'all. There you will briefly introduce yourself, describe your favorite type of art or artist and share what you are passionate about before we enter the museum. The first 5 to arrive will get an official #GURLMuseumDay pin!
12:30 – 1:20 pm Explore the Exhibition
This is the moment we’ll hit Instagram mode and take those perfect insta shots and selfies. #GURLMusuemDay, official hashtag.
1:20 – 1:30 pm Announcements
At this time exit out of the exhibition and briefly have announcements of upcoming gatherings.
1:30 - 2:00 pm Post-Meet ’n Greet
For those interested, we will be heading to nearby coffee shop (Phiz Coffee) to continue the conversation. This is optional.
Directions & Parking
City parking structure with 90-minute free parking is at 120 S. Maryland Avenue, Glendale, CA 91209. City parking lot behind the museum (accessible from Harvard or Colorado) is $2 per hour at the pay station. Brand Boulevard street parking is $2 per hour at the pay station in front of MONA Gift Store.
