Why and what does “gurl” and “womxn" mean?

GMD uses the terms “gurl” and “womxn” as an alternative term for women which includes lesbians, queer and trans women as well as women of color. Our founder uses these terms with affection and that is why they are used throughout GMD. It is part of our story. This represents us.
