Portraits of Freedom

  • Grand Park 200 North Grand Avenue Los Angeles, CA, 90012 United States (map)

We're back! IRL—we're beyond exhilarated. Why? Because we're visiting our very own founder, Diane Lindquist, the art installation she is part of. The best part is she would be our special guest and host!

Join us at Grand Park's Portraits of Freedom: Building a Life in L.A., a month-long public art installation celebrating home and freedom through the contributions and reflections of immigrants, BIPOC communities, and Indigenous stewardship. Between Grand Avenue and North Broadway, explore five activations curated by community partners which showcase L.A. pride and identity through diverse stories within the American experience.

One of the five activations is Diane Lindquist's at Home, which explores the definition of home from constituents in Los Angeles and its surrounding neighborhoods. By collecting words and the stories behind them, Lindquist’s intention is to unify citizens through sharing their diverse perspectives. You are invited to contribute your word and story for home at july.grandpark.la. Words selected will be projected onto the Hall of Records building.

The tour will be guided by Diane Lindquist herself! We will meet at the Grand Avenue entrance of Grand Park and end with her installation.
