Four women artist in one place. Yes, unheard of, right?! This is why this one GMD Tour you don't want to miss. For September’s GMD Los Angeles Tour, we’re heading to visit the four women artist artworks, Donna Huanca, Anna Uddenberg, Catherine Opie & Yayoi Kusama at Marciano Art Foundation (MAF).
We will be brief by MAF docent on the exhibition before we enter. We will also be witness performance of 'Donna Huanaca: Obsiadian Ladder'. Then we will continue to witness artworks of 'Anna Uddenberg: Privé', 'Catherine Opie' and the legendary Yayoi Kusama, 'With AllMy Love for The Tulips, I Pray Forever, 2011’.
We’ll meet in the front entrance of the Marciano Art Foundation. This month’s special guest, Alysia Alex, Associate Director of Career and Professional Development at Art Center College of Design. Hosted by GMD Founder Diane Lindquist. Everyone attending will get a GMD Official Button!

Alysia Alex
Alysia Alex is an artist advocate and creative industries professional born and raised in Los Angeles. She has spent the last seven years leading projects and teams in a variety of creative fields from commercial galleries to event production studios, art fairs to design brands weaving a passion of empowering artists and giving creatives a platform to succeed through every role.
She holds a MA in Art Business from Claremont Graduate University/Sotheby’s Institute, a BFA from SAIC, and currently serves as Associate Director of Career and Professional Development at ArtCenter College of Design.

10:00 – 10:30 am Meet ’n Greet
We’ll meet in the front entrance of the Marciano Art Foundation. Find GMD’s founder Diane Lindquist waiting to meet y'all. There you will briefly introduce yourself, describe what you are passionate about, and your current art obsession before we proceed to exhibition. You will also meet this month’s special guest, Alysia Alex, Associate Director of Career and Professional Development at Art Center College of Design.
10:30 – 12:30 pm Explore Donna Huanca, Anna Uddenberg, Catherine Opie & Yayoi Kusama
We will then enter the Marciano Art Foundation to meet our MAF representative. They will briefly talk about the history of museum, it’s purpose and mission and highlight some of the art we will be seeing.

12:30 – 1:00 pm Announcements

Parking
There is free parking available in the lot directly behind the Foundation, accessible off of Lucerne. Because it is limited, however, we do encourage carpooling where possible! Visitors must remove their vehicle from the lot when they leave MAF; we are not able to accommodate parking while guests visit another destination.
