Spring has sprung! For April's GMD Los Angeles Tour, we're heading to visit Beatriz Cortez artworks at Craft Contemporary (formerly known as Craft & Folk Art Museum).
We’ll meet in the front entrance of the Craft Contemporary. This month’s special guest is Veronica Tolentino, Founder of Loud Community. First 5 to arrive will get a GMD Official Button!

Veronica Tolentino
Veronica Tolentino is Founder of Loud Community, a membership based group for womxn and gender non confirming folx focused on service, solidarity and building social capital. Wildly passionate about service and community, Veronica's career includes 10 years in non profit development and going on 6 years of building social enterprises in leadership roles. What's really important to her is the legacy she leaves behind not just for her own family, but the people in her community at large and beyond. She's working on leaving this earth better than she found it, and that's the shit that matters most.

12:00 – 12:30 am Meet ’n Greet
We’ll meet in the front entrance of the Craft Contemporary. Find GMD’s founder Diane Lindquist waiting to meet y'all. There you will briefly introduce yourself, describe what you are passionate about, and your current art obsession before we proceed to exhibition. You will also meet this month’s special guest, Veronica Tolentino, Founder of Loud Community.
12:30 – 2:30 pm Explore Beatriz Cortez and other Exhibitions at Craft Contemporary
We will cover each floor of the Craft Contemporary. Starting off with the first floor we will see ‘Beatriz Cortez & Rafa Esparza: Nomad 13’ to the second floor to see ‘Focus Iran 3’ which would lead us to the third floor to end with 'Beatriz Cortez: Trinidad/Joy Station’.

At this time we will briefly have announcements of upcoming gatherings.

Parking
Please park at 5750 Courtyard Place, Los Angeles, CA 90036. Cost of parking is $5.00. Make sure to pick up your validation coupon from the admission desk after your visit. Enter from Wilshire Boulevard at Courtyard Place (between Masselin and Curson). Structure will be on the right. There is also two-hour street parking within a block of CAFAM.
